Pierre Cardin Sideboard Covered in Steel Original Signature, circa 1970
The Cardin sideboard, was designed with a wooden structure and covered with steel and laminate. The decoration of the front plays on the alternation between raw and laminate. The horizontal bands converge in cross-shaped squares and form a “double ring” decoration. An entire laminate top runs along the upper part, which dissects the middle part with the lower part. The signature is applied to the side as a refined mark that quietly attests the hand of the designer.
